Why Your Pool Plaster Looks Bad and How to Fix It

3. Scaling

It occurs when carbon carbonate solidifies, giving the pool plaster a rough feel and an ugly look. This happens when your has a high level of hardness and/or high PH value. You can solve this problem by washing the affected surface with acid. Another option is using a pumice cleaning stone to scrub the surface to make it easier to rinse them off.

4. Discoloration

Discoloration is the most common problem with bad pool plaster job. Pool plasters discolor because the plaster used is porous. The plaster is disturbed if you use water with unbalanced chemical composure. It gives the pool an ugly look, and makes the water look dirty. 

So, don’t always be quick to drain your pool to tackle discoloration, as it can sometimes be from the water. Instead, clean your water; if it still has the ugly looks, you can then drain it for inspection. You can handle discoloration through acid washing.
